Career Immersive
Overview
A career as an investment analyst involves researching and analyzing data to help make informed investment decisions. They evaluate market trends, assess financial models, and develop investment strategies. Working for investment banks, venture capital funds, financial advisory firms, they have skills such as strong analytical abilities, financial modeling proficiency, and excellent communication.
This Career Immersive is designed by industry practitioners. They are actively working in jobs within venture capital, and have provided their insights regarding the tasks they perform regularly, the skills required to perform those tasks well, and recommendations for acquiring those skills.
Investment analysis requires a variety of technical and cognitive skills. In Career Immersives, we center the learning on tasks. You will first engage in tasks that need to be completed, and when you need it, we'll provide learning support in the form of readings, videos, or other activities.
We've worked with industry practitioners to identify the projects they develop on a day-to-day basis. On Day 1 of this learning experience, you will begin building projects as if you're working the job.
We also ensure the projects are useful - we don't want them to collect dust after you're done! The assignments you complete resemble either tasks you'd be asked to complete in an interview, or a portfolio project you can showcase in your job application process.
Throughout this learning experience, you will be able to see how professionals complete the task. You'll gain exposure to real-life, industry-grade deliverables - no more guessing whether or not what you did was up to par.
